Over the course of many years, people have a lot of opinions on English. People have argued on weather to ban it or make english legal. Some people have even blamed the immigrants. Spanish, Dutch , French etc. immigrants come from all over the world wanting to have a better life in America. Unforntely they don't know a word of English. Sometimes the government even alters American things such as menus ,job applications and other things to help out ,but wouldn't it save money nd be eaiser if they would just learn English?
English should be the official language of America for one reason it's America and for many years the language has been English. Why break tradition that's been going on for so many years even decades. Also English should be the main lanuguage ,becuase you can end the years of debates and frustration. Supporters of this also say that English keeps America together. Everyone is connected through one main language. Many others also agree that they can save money. It's a waste of money translating things for different languages. Also many people believed it's the most powerful language on earth.
Although there are many people who support English to be the main language ,there are others who are aganist it. English shouldn't be the main language because it's not English any more. English has been altered and munipulated that you can hardly call it English. For Example slang is a form of English , but in some people's opinion slang is only spoken among certain types of induviduals. Many people are upset by this. English is not a form. There shouldn't be forms. English is one language and only one language. Now these days many are forgetting how to spell the simplest of words. Teachers even use spell checkers. They also mainly built within the confounds of computers systems. Another reason that English should be banned is that more and more immigrants are coming to America. America is becoming more and more diverse and it can not continue to only have one language.
Should English be a law?
Making English the official law would be eaiser. We would save money and there would be no more debates or problems. We must also consider the cons of making it a law. For Example immigrants coming here and who already live here would become raged. Can they help it if there from some where else? In a way making English a law could cause more problems and debates. It seems if we make the language a law that the problem will never be solved.
In conclusion I feel that they should leave English alone. What I mean by that is leave things the way they are. At this point by debating we're only making things worst for everyone else. Immigrants expecially have it hard. They come to America to escape a lot of things. If they already suffering with so much back at home why make it war here too? We should probably make it as easy for them as possible by hiring translators and translating things for them. Learning a language weather it be English or foreign is hard enough and everyone needs help.

Offical Language
I feel that they should make English the official language in America ,because of the simple fact of America is mainly populated by Americans. I know at least 1 forth of America is Mexican ,but they come from Mexico. You need to keep your heritage ,but adjust to new things at the same time. We shouldn't have legalize states as Spanish speaking and uproot our lives just because the Mexicans don't want to learn english. I doubt if you went to Mexico or a majority of America went to Mexico that Mexico would change their hard earn country ways all English speaking when half of them don't even know English. It's just like if someone wanted to go to Mexico for some reason you would have to learn Spanish just becuase your in their territory. I understand that Spainards use to own America ,but that happened a long time ago. They shouldn't use that as an excuse. If you choose to go to a foreign country where the language is different you just have no choice, but to adapt and learn their language.
